4/8/1857	Mangal Pandey, the first revolutionary of Indian mutiny and freedom fighter, was hanged till death at Barrackpore. He struck the first bullet during the time of mutiny against the British Empire.
7/9/1951	India's first Five Year Plan prepared and published. There was the first amendment to the Constitution and the first general elections were held.
